The Paul W. Smith Golf Classic, held at the historic Detroit Golf Club, featured a day of golf, camaraderie and dining and was attended by 270 corporate and community representatives. Event proceeds were raised from sponsorships and individual contributions.
"The goal of the tournament since the beginning has always been the check we write and the kids who benefit from it," Paul W. Smith, said. "Each year we are overwhelmed by the commitment and generosity of the corporate community and the many caring individuals who have helped us raise nearly $6.5M in net proceeds."
This year the tournament proceeds went to Detroit PAL as well as two additional charities serving children with vital services, The Children's Center and Variety the Children’s Charity of Detroit.
